Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana defender Thabo Moloisane who has arrived as a free agent after leaving Stellenbosch FC.

The right-footed centre-back joins the Glamour Boys after his contract with the Cape Winelands club expired. During his three-season tenure at Stellenbosch, Moloisane became a key figure, making an impressive 115 appearances.

Hailing from Meadowlands, the 26-year-old has already earned two caps for Bafana Bafana and will be eager to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup under incoming coach Fernando Da Cruz.

Moloisane, who made his national team debut under coach Hugo Broos, is expected to join his new teammates when they assemble for pre-season training. He hopes the high-profile move to Naturena will bolster his chances of earning more international caps.

“He will link up with the Glamour Boys when the squad returns for pre-season training,” the statement continued. “We extend a warm welcome to Thabo and look forward to seeing him in the Gold and Black colours of Amakhosi.”
