Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed coach Nasreddine Nabi is no longer with the team after barely a year in charge.
The tactician joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the 2024/25 season to help the Soweto giants regain their lost glory in both teh domestic and continental scene.
In his first year, the tactician delivered the Nedbank Cup but failed to qualify for the MTN8 this season after finishing ninth on the Premier Soccer League. It was not a good finish for the club considering the signings that had been made prior to the start of the campaign.

The 2025/26 edition started well for the Glamour Boys, who – without Nabi, won four back-to-back PSL games without conceding a goal. Nevertheless, upon his return, the team managed a draw with Mamelodi Sundowns before losing 3-1 to Sekhukhune United in the most recent outing.
Chiefs confirm Nabi's exit
The media broke the news about Nabi's exit after the loss to Babina Noko, but Amakhosi said nothing on the matter until Friday morning.
“Kaizer Chiefs confirms that Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently not with the team as discussions between the Club and the Coach remain ongoing,” they said in a statement.
“The matter is internal in nature and is being addressed through the appropriate processes. The Club remains focused on ensuring stability and continuity for the players and supporters during this period. As this is an internal matter, no further details will be shared at this stage.
“We appreciate the continued support and understanding of our supporters and the broader football community. Any updates will be communicated through official Club channels when appropriate,” Amakhosi concluded.
