The highly anticipated clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns is set to draw a massive crowd, with a staggering 75,000 tickets now available for Wednesday's 7:30 PM kickoff at FNB Stadium.

This number represents nearly 80% of the stadium's capacity, a testament to the immense interest in this Betway Premiership fixture.

The decision to increase the ticket allocation was a direct response to overwhelming fan demand. Initially, a crowd of 45,000 was planned. However, strong early ticket sales prompted a revision to 60,000.

Now, a final total of 75,000 has been confirmed, demonstrating the excitement surrounding the match. This significant increase highlights the game's importance, pitting the reigning league champions against one of South Africa's most popular and in-form clubs.

This fixture comes at a crucial point for both teams. Mamelodi Sundowns, under their new coach, will be looking to assert their dominance and continue their winning ways. Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs, who have made a promising start to the season, will be aiming to make a statement by getting a result against the champions.

The atmosphere at FNB Stadium is expected to be electric, with fans from both sides creating a vibrant backdrop for the on-field battle.

Chiefs has since released an official statement to provide further details on the ticket update and to urge fans to secure their seats early to avoid disappointment.

The club is hopeful that the increased capacity will allow more supporters to witness the highly anticipated clash between two of the league's biggest rivals.
