Chiefs management under turmoil as fans march to Naturena demanding action

Kaizer Chiefs fans have been vocal about their team’s struggles in the ongoing 2025/26 season.

When the campaign started, coach Nasreddine Nabi, who had ended the club’s decade-long trophyless run, was in charge. However, just six games into the Premier Soccer League campaign, the former AS FAR Rabat tactician was sent packing.

The majority of the football lovers had expected Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef to leave as well, but the management opted to let the duo run the show at Naturena.

The two co-coaches have not delivered as anticipated, struggling to help the Soweto giants effectively challenge for silverware.

The big losses

In the Carling Knockout, Amakhosi crashed out after falling to Stellenbosch in the initial round. Coincidentally, the two teams were paired together again in the Nedbank Cup, and as fate may have it, Stellies, once again, advanced.

It became worse in the CAF Confederation Cup, where, despite collecting 10 points in Group D, a loss to Zamalek ensured Al Masry advanced thanks to their superior goal difference.

Back in the Premier Soccer League, Chiefs have lost their last three matches in a row to hurt their chances of challenging Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates to title. The fans have been vocal about the changes they need at the club, and on Saturday they marched to Naturena to drop their memo.

The supporters feel Kaze and Ben Youssef are not the right people to steer the team forward especially after the last four losses in a row across all competitions.

Chiefs will next host Durban City in the Premier Soccer League fixture at the FNB Stadium on Sunday, March 15.
