Newly signed Kaizer Chiefs left-back Bradley Cross has expressed heartfelt gratitude in a farewell message to his previous club, Golden Arrows.

The left-footed player was officially introduced by Amakhosi on Tuesday, alongside Njabulo Blom, who has joined on loan from the USA Major League Soccer team St. Louis City.

The 23-year-old defender, Cross inked a four-year deal with the Soweto giants after they triggered his R3 million buyout clause in his contract with Abafana Bes’thende.

Cross enjoyed a successful season with the Durban club last year, earning the distinction of joint-player of the year. He participated in 24 matches for the team across various competitions.

He expressed his appreciation to Arrows for his tenure at the club, particularly acknowledging chairlady Ms. Mato Madlala for the opportunity she provided him last season following his relegation with Maritzburg United.

BRADLEY CROSS MESSAGE TO GOLDEN ARROWS

“A big thank you to the Arrows community for taking me in and making me feel so welcome over the past 12 months. It was a great honour to play for a club that will always have a place in my heart.

“To be crowned by you, the fans, as your joint-player of the year was an extremely proud and memorable moment for me.

“I want to thank all my teammates, coaches, and management for a great year — especially the chairlady, Ms. Mato, who showed great belief in me.”

Cross was signed as an alternative after Chiefs couldn’t get their initial targets for the left back position – Fawaaz Basadien (Stellenbosch FC), Riaan Hanamub (AmaZulu FC) and Anderson Cruz (Petro de Luanda).
