Mamelodi Sundowns claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win over AmaZulu in the Premier Soccer League game staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

A late goal by substitute Marcel Allende was what the defending champions needed to topple Orlando Pirates on goal difference. Both teams have played 17 games in the ongoing campaign.
