Siphesihle Ndlovu scored the only goal as Kaizer Chiefs beat Polokwane City by a solitary goal in their most recent Premier Soccer League outing played on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old midfielder converted Reeve Frosler's pass in the danger zone to give the Glamour Boys a perfect start to the new campaign in the South African top-tier outing. The former Orlando Pirates player is among the seven new faces at Amakhosi, having joined from a now-defunct SuperSport United.
As revealed to the club's media team, Ndlovu is elated to have made his dad's wish come true. He insists it was his desire to one day play for the Chiefs, and he has been working hard to make his dream come true.

The midfielder further explained how it felt scoring the only goal of the match that earned Amakhosi a top spot on the PSL table.
My dad is happy I have made his wish come true
“It was my father’s dream for me to play for the club he has always supported, and since the age of about 17 or 18, I have wanted to fulfil that ambition. Right now, he is very happy and so excited, which means the world to me,” he stated.
“A while back, I missed out on a chance to come here, so I said to myself I will still work hard to hopefully get the opportunity again, so when it did come, I was thrilled to finally sign for Amakhosi. I am the type of person who always looks ahead to what is coming. So, for me, it’s a new chapter in my life and career, a new journey that I am taking.
“It was a great feeling [to score]. Everyone who played in the first half did their jobs so it was up those of us who came on to finish it. That’s why the goal is special for me, because it came at the right time. That’s what I call ‘making your mark,’” he concluded.
Ndlovu hopes to play part as his team host Richards Bay on Tuesday in the next PSL outing to be played at the FNB Stadium.
