Kaizer Chiefs have been salivating for the services of Bafana Bafana international Elias Mokwana to bolster their attacking department.
Last season, they reportedly failed to match the offer submitted by his current team, Esperance de Tunis, and Sekhukhune United opted to let the winger join the North African outfit. In his debut campaign, the 25-year-old played 27 games across all competitions, with a return of six goals and four assists.

His team had a good campaign where they claimed a domestic treble – Ligue Professionnelle 1, Tunisian Cup, and Tunisian Super Cup, and were part of the four African teams that played in the concluded 2025 Fifa Club World Cup.
Mokwana, surplus to requirements at Esperance?
“The record Tunisian champions are prepared to part ways with the South African attacker if they receive a bid that meets their valuation,” Kick Off reported.
“Esperance are looking to sell Mokwana as part of a financial strategy by club president Hamdi Meddeb, who is reportedly aiming to raise €6.2 million (R127.6 million). The South African winger has been valued at €1.2 million (R24.6 million), and a number of clubs are said to have expressed interest.

“Russian outfit Dynamo Makhachkala FC and Saudi Pro League side Al Hamza are believed to be the most prominent suitors so far. However, it is understood that no club has yet submitted an offer that satisfies the Blood and Gold,” they concluded.
The Glamour Boys will definitely be interested in having Mokwana in their team, but the club might not be willing to meet the reported asking price.
