The Chilli Boys have added four new players to the squad
Chippa United have added another Jali to their list of new signings following after unveiling four players on Tuesday.
Defender Samkelo Jali has joined Chippa from Maritzburg United, where he spent last season and made eight appearances.
Also joining the Chilli Boys is right winger Sifiso Mazibuko, who has signed from Jomo Cosmos for a first taste of top flight football.
The 20-year-old will add some dynamism to the Chippa attack as they look to improve their output in terms of goals.
Chippa United have now signed seven players
Another new acquisition is winger Xolani Shitole signed from Pretoria Callies FC, having previously turned out for Ladysmith United, and second-tier clubs Free State Stars and Casric Stars.
Right winger Thobani Jacobs has also joined Chippa United from Addo in the Sarah Baartman Municipality.
The four new players take Chippa’s fresh faces to seven so far, having already unveiled former TS Galaxy midfielder Aphelele Teto, winger Giovanni Philander and veteran midfielder Andile Jali.
Chippa United are looking to add youth and experience to a squad that finished 12th last season.
The club released 16 players in Luvuyo Memela, Roscoe Petersen, Senzo Nkwanyana, Loydt Kazapua, Azola Ntsabo, Siyabonga Nhlapo, Siphelele Luthuli, Darren Johnson, Menzi Ndwandwe, Andile Fakude, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Diego Apollis, Khanyisile Mayo, Siseko Manona, Yurig Conwood, and Andile Mbenyane before the signing spree began.
