Bafana Bafana are hopeful of getting Group C's automatic World Cup ticket with a win over Rwanda, coupled with Benin's loss against Nigeria.
The Cheetahs lead the pool with 17 points, two more than South Africa, meaning they have their fate in their own hands. The Super Eagles can qualify if they beat Gernot Rohr's men and South Africa drop points against Amavubi.
Benin are determined to defy the odds and beat favourites Nigeria and South Africa to the automatic slot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup that will be jointly co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Prior to matchday nine, Broos stated the Cheetahs can't beat both Rwanda and Nigeria away, sentiments that angered the Benin players.
Broos' remarks, motivation to Benin?
“It was a difficult game, of course. Rwanda wanted absolutely to win and we wanted to enjoy, in the end, the victory. But we still have to do something great in Uyo,” he told The Guardian.
“We have lost two players [for the match against Nigeria] as a result of a second yellow card. But all is possible for the three teams: South Africa, Benin, and Nigeria. We now have the decision in our hands. This can be a little advantage. But we will see. It’s a big suspense until the end.
“When they heard Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos say that Benin cannot win against Rwanda and Nigeria, my players were very upset.
“They are now within reach of a FIFA World Cup ticket. We look forward to a grand match against Nigeria in Uyo,” Rohr concluded.
