Mamelodi Sundowns started their Premier Soccer League title defense with a 1-1 draw against Chippa United on Saturday afternoon.

Arthur Sales scored the first goal of the match in favour of Masandawana before Khaya Mfecane's deflected effort leveled matters. Both teams struggled to find the winning goal but the spoils were eventually shared.
