Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat is not ruling out the possibility of playing in the Premier Soccer League in the future.
The 34-year-old Zimbabwe attacker returned home last season after failing to get a new team in Mzansi following his exit from the Glamour Boys. He joined Yadah which ended his 13-year stay in South Africa.
His return home was a blessing in disguise; apart from getting his form, Billiat was convinced to reverse his decision to retire from international football. Interestingly, he was on target against Namibia in a recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier before playing a part in a 3-1 win over the same opponent in the most recent outing.
PSL return up next for Billiat?
The versatile attacker won all domestic competitions in Mzansi as well as the Caf Champions League and the Super Cup. Will he consider getting back to the PSL?
“Let’s say it’s a great recognition. You know, as players, you always want your effort to be recognised, and I truly appreciate and, ja, it makes me feel young again,” Billiat told iDiski Times about his recent form.
“You never know with football? Like I just wanted to focus on the league back home. We’re left with five games, I think, and see how far I can go, and where we are and how I did throughout the season. Then sit down and look, if there’s interest, you never know.”
Billiat signed a one-year deal with Yadah meaning he will be a free agent once the Zimbabwean season concludes in the next couple of months.
