Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has shared his thoughts on Mamelodi Sundowns new signings Arthur Sales and Kegan Johannes.

The Brazilians have made a total of five signings so far, including Iqraam Rayners, Asekho Tiwani and Kobamelo Kodisang.

Rayners hasn’t been announced officially by the club but has been seen training with the team at Chloorkop with Manqoba Mngqithi having also dropped a hint when he said the 28-year-old would help them this season.

Muhsin says the Brazilian forward, Sales is one of the signings to watch this season. This is after Masandawana spent a staggering R64 million to secure the signing of the 22-year-old.

WHAT MUHSIN ERTUGRAL THINKS OF SALES?

“For me, Arthur Sales is a very interesting signing,” Ertugral told iDiski Times.

“A great talent for me, a great ‘number 10’-come-striker. A good choice from Lommel.

“He’s still young and will need to adapt to South Africa, but a player to watch.”

Muhsin also believes Johannes is one for the future at Sundowns with the Tshwane side building a strong team for the upcoming seasons to compete in the continent and domestically.

‘HE WILL GROW INTO NEXT GENERATION OF SUNDOWNS’

“Kegan Johannes, for me, is one of the great upcoming players that will grow into the next generation of Sundowns players,” Ertugral added.

“He was with me at Ajax at 16, Training with the pro side already.”

Johannes joined Masandawana from the crosstown rivals SuperSport United. He will be competing in the right-back position with the likes of Khuliso Mudau and Thapelo Morena.

Johannes was at SuperSport since 2021 when he joined from Cape Town Spurs. He made 65 appearances for the Sea Robbers and score four goals and provided one assist in the process.
