Zimbabwe international Daniel Msendami is among the new faces that have been signed by Orlando Pirates in the January transfer window.
Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has also brought in Andre de Jong from Stellenbosch, as well as Mpho Chabatsane, who was Msendami’s teammate at Marumo Gallants. These are players who, the technical team feels, have what it takes to push the Buccaneers to the remaining domestic titles.

Since joining Bucs, as Jose Riveiro’s successor, Ouaddou has won the MTN8 and Carling Knockout crowns. He is hoping to win the Premier Soccer League and Nedbank Cup titles as well.
Msendami is hopeful he can play a massive part in helping Bucs deliver the remaining local crowns.
I had to push myself to be here
“I joined Pirates knowing that they have a big squad and for me that was a big motivation because I always want to compete and be one of the best in the team,” the Zimbabwe international told Pirates’ media team.
“Joining Pirates is a dream come true for me because Pirates are one of the biggest teams in Africa. I am excited to be here and I am looking forward to delivering by scoring goals to help the team continue to win matches.
“I had to push myself to be here. The start of my career was very, very hard. I am a type of player who’s direct. I am always thinking of going forward whenever I have the ball on my feet,” Msendami concluded.
The 25-year-old might make his debut on Saturday when Pirates face Sekhukhune United in the Premier Soccer League outing. Bucs lost the last meeting by a solitary goal.
