Stellenbosch confirmed former Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt will continue serving the club until 2028 and the tactician has since brought in ex-Orlando Pirates attacker.
The 61-year-old has been serving the Maroons since the shocking exit of Steve Barker early in the season for the Tanzanian heavyweights Simba SC. Barker was frustrated by the exit of his top stars without quality replacements to help him compete domestically and abroad.

Hunt helped Stellies to not only survive relegation, but also finish ninth on the Premier Soccer League table, just two points outside the MTN8 qualification spot.
To avoid struggles next season, Hunt has already started strengthening his squad to make it competitive enough.

“SABC Sport can confirm that striker Sinoxolo Kwayiba has completed his move from Chippa United to Stellenbosch FC ahead of the new season,” the national broadcaster reported.
“The two clubs are understood to have finalised the transfer earlier this week, with the 26-year-old leaving the Eastern Cape for the Cape Winelands to link up with coach Gavin Hunt, whose new two-year contract at Stellies has also been confirmed.
“The move forms part of what is expected to be a significant squad overhaul at Stellenbosch following a disappointing campaign that saw the club finish outside the top eight for the first time since the 2020/21 season,” they added.

At the beginning of the season, Kwayiba joined Orlando Pirates but left in the January Transfer window after just two appearances. At Chippa United, he ended up playing 15 games where he scored six goals and provided an assist.
