Kaizer Chiefs confirmed they will not continue their partnership with co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef.
The two have been in charge since the firing of Nasreddine Nabi early in the 2025/26 campaign. They struggled in domestic competitions but narrowly missed making the knockout phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the Premier Soccer League, the Glamour Boys finished third, which was a massive improvement after their 10th and ninth-place finishes in the previous two campaigns.

Wait until Kaizer Chiefs announce Nasreddine Nabi as the head coach. Anything is possible at Naturena – Josh Joshua
The club is shooting itself in the foot, yet again. Just when the club have been making progress, the restart button gets pressed once more – Kelvin Jacobs
Please, the team should not sign players before the coach’s arrival. Get rid of that bunch of average players at Chiefs. Plus minus 10 players must leave now, it’s long overdue – Ernest Sekano
Don’t be surprised with Chiefs chasing them away, only to appoint Steve Komphela and Patrick Mabedi – Toogood Dube
Every season, Chiefs management is always taking one step forward and two steps backwards. The new coach is going to bring his philosophy, and he’s going to ask the management to buy players that he feels can fit his own philosophy, which is going to take a bit of time to win Cups. While Sundowns and Pirates will be far ahead – Score Field
Interpreters have done well

Finally, they part ways with interpreters. I wonder who will be the next incompetent plumber to be appointed – Mosima Mosima
Big mistake. These guys were going in the right direction. I would have given them another season, then appointed Pitso Mosimane as technical advisor – Ntlantla Mabula
They spoiled their chances by losing their last game. Or perhaps that is how the players conspired? – Moswanyane Tsoenyane
I don’t care whether Ilyes Mzoughi is leaving or not, but I just wonder if the new coach will agree to work with him – Elliot Bolae
They called them interpreters, yes they interpreted the game more clearly than other coaches who came before them. Well done and good luck – Vusi Ndlovu
