Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef, just like any other person associated with the club, is happy with a perfect start to the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.
They beat Stellenbosch 2-0 to set the ball rolling before collecting a 1-0 victory over Polokwane City. As a result, the Glamour Boys are top of the group with maximum points, with a massive possibility of making it three wins out of three on Tuesday when they host Richards Bay at the FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef has lauded goalkeeper Brandon Petersen for his good form in the goal. Chiefs have been asked to consider signing a new custodian following the initial blunders by the 30-year-old, alongside his colleagues Fiacre Ntwari and Bruce Bvuma.
‘We have proved everything is possible'
“I think we must congratulate coach Ilyes Mzoughi, the improvement of Petersen has been very good, we’re all talking of the performances of Petersen, with two clean sheets, I think we cannot change Petersen,” he said ahead of the forthcoming fixture.
“He’s been ready, he helped the team against Stellenbosch with three or four saves – against Polokwane City he was reliable, his attitude is good, and we have to say congratulations to Petersen first and coach Ilyes’ for his work with Petersen.
“Last season there was a lot of criticism about our goalkeepers, but we have proved that everything, with work, when you work hard, it’s possible [to improve],” Ben Youssef concluded.
Since joining the Glamour Boys from a now-defunct Bidvest Wits in 2021, he has played 50 games with 20 cleansheets.
