Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Jomo Cosmos defender Hilton Jordaan has explained why Orlando Pirates will win the PSL title this season.
Pirates and Sundowns have been the two best teams in the country in the last three years but the start of this season suggests the balance of power may be shifting.
This is after Sundowns’ poor start to the season that has seen them drop nine points from their opening 10 games with a draw and loss against lesser sides such as Marumo Gallants and Golden Arrows while they are already out of the MTN8 and Carling Knockout.

What makes Pirates favourites for the title?
Meanwhile, Pirates are flying as they are unbeaten in their last 10 matches, having won the MTN8 for a fourth straight year, and made it to the Carling Knockout quarter-final.
Jordaan feels everything is in place for the Buccaneers to succeed and this is the season they could claim the league crown.

“Orlando Pirates. They are settled, and they've got a nice bunch of players. It looks like there's very good camaraderie in there,” Jordaan told KickOff.
Pirates last won the PSL title in 2012 and have watched as Sundowns have dominated the league in the last nine years.
However, the Brazilians’ poor form this term could offer them a perfect opportunity to finally end their 13-year wait.
