Goalless draws dominate Betway Premiership Saturday

Three matches in the Betway Premiership on Saturday ended in goalless draws, highlighting a dearth of goals across the league.

Marumo Gallants and Richards Bay FC played out a scoreless draw in Bloemfontein despite Gallants dominating possession.

While they enjoyed a significant advantage, they failed to find the back of the net, allowing Richards Bay to hold on for a point.

The result had little impact on the log standings, with Gallants remaining in 13th place (11 points) and Richards Bay in 14th (9 points).

GALAXY EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN

TS Galaxy extended their unbeaten run under coach Adnan Beganovic, drawing 0-0 with Magesi FC at the Mbombela Stadium.

This point takes their tally to 12 since Beganovic replaced Sead Ramovic. Galaxy, looking to build on their recent 3-1 victory over Royal AM, controlled possession in the first half but struggled to convert their chances.

Magesi FC, under interim coach Owen Da Gama since December 30th, successfully arrested their losing streak. Despite facing pressure from Galaxy, including five shots from outside the box, they held firm.

The point gained is crucial for Magesi FC, who are currently at the bottom of the log. TS Galaxy, now unbeaten in seven games, climbed to ninth position with 14 points from 12 matches.

Golden Arrows were left to rue missed opportunities after a 0-0 draw with AmaZulu FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. A win would have propelled them into fourth place.

Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi's side hit the crossbar twice but ultimately failed to capitalize on their chances. Both teams had a goal disallowed, adding to the frustration. The draw leaves Golden Arrows in 11th position.
