‘I have a donkey mentality’ – Chiefs star shares what makes him different

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has described himself as a hard-working player who brings a “donkey mentality” to the club.

Ndlovu was among the 11 players brought in by Chiefs in the transfer window and he has had a decent start to life in the black and gold of Chiefs so far.

The former SuperSport United midfielder believes the club will soon experience success and he is counting himself among those who will contribute greatly to the revival of the Glamour Boys.

“Obviously, I just have a donkey mentality,” said Ndlovu as quoted by iDiski Times. “So that’s what I bring within the club. I don’t worry about any other thing, just to come here and work, serve the club appropriately and then that’s it for me.”

“So, I hope that can be taken by other guys, youngsters and probably use it in the future,” he further said.

The 28-year-old has so far played five games for Chiefs and scored one goal and is among few players who have won trophies elsewhere within the squad at Naturena.

Chiefs fans have been crying out for players who have a winning mentality at the club and will hope that Ndlovu lives up to his promise.

The Glamour Boys started the season in great fashion, winning four of their opening five games, before a loss and draw pegged them back, and were looking to return to winning ways when they hosted AmaZulu on Wednesday evening.

Victory for Chiefs against Usuthu, under their former coach Arthur Zwane, will see them move to third spot on the log with 17 points, four behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played two games more.
