Jwaneng Galaxy coach Morena Ramoreboli has sent a message to Orlando Pirates after his side lost the first leg of the CAF Champions League first preliminary round.

The match, held at the Botswana National Stadium on Saturday afternoon, ended with Galaxy losing 2-0 to the Buccaneers

Ramoreboli acknowledged that his team performed admirably but lacked the necessary precision in the final third of the field.

He reassured Ezimnyama Ngenkani that the contest is far from concluded, as there remains a second leg in which they can potentially reverse the outcome.

WHAT RAMOREBOLI SAID AFTER DEFEAT TO PIRATES IN FIRST LEG

“We played… we’re disappointed with the result but the performance was very good, we had our moments, we could have scored, but maybe we rushed in the final third,” said Ramoreboli.

“If you look at the goals they scored, based on analysis, the one Tshego scored, that’s how they got it, a goal they scored in a critical phase of the game, second before half-time.

“The second one we were chasing, it looked like we could score, with pressure, with aggression, unfortunately, they won the ball in midfield, and quickly played forward, we could have done better, tracked back, but we delayed and they scored the second.

“I still believe we tried our best to score, it was not meant to be. It’s football, sometimes you need to take the result, as bad as they are. We need to go back, plan, what we going to do in the second leg, it’s not over yet, it’s football.”

Galaxy and the Sea Robbers will meet in the return tie on Saturday, 21 September at 18:00 at Orlando Stadium.
