Mamelodi Sundowns shared footage of the memorial arranged outside Chloorkop in honour of Jayden Adams, as supporters paid their respects to the late Bafana Bafana youngster.

Ex-Sundowns scout gets a new challenge

A former Mamelodi Sundowns scout has been appointed as the new head coach of Eswatini Premier League giants Mbabane Highlanders AM, beating John Maduka to the role.

Mogale arrives with an impressive coaching experience, having previously worked at Royal AM, Chippa United, Black Leopards and Free State Stars.

Moreover, the South African mentor also spent time as a scout at Masandawana at some point, where he was involved in player identification and recruitment.

Mogale will now be tasked with leading one of Eswatini’s most decorated clubs as they look to challenge for major honours next season.

“Mbabane Highlanders AM is proud to welcome Floyd Mogale as our new Head Coach, alongside Percy Shongwe, who joins the club as Physical Trainer, ahead of the 2026/27 season,” the club said.

“Coach Mogale, joining on a three-year contract, brings a wealth of experience in player development and competitive football, while Coach Shongwe adds invaluable expertise, combining a deep understanding of the local game with modern training methods and a global football perspective,” they added.

Ex-Sundowns striker tipped to come good for Chiefs

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould has tipped a forgotten striker to finally come good at the club in the 2026/27 season.

Chiefs have been quiet in the transfer window, only announcing the signing of Thabo Moloisane and goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner, who were acquired on free transfers.

Ighodaro’s 2025/26 campaign was interrupted by injuries shortly after he was announced by Amakhosi and during the campaign, where he was limited to seven matches in all competitions and did not feature for the 2026 calendar year.

Gould, who had his fair share of injuries, has tipped the Nigerian striker to finally repay the faith shown in him by the Chiefs management.

“He’s (Ighodaro) going to be huge for Kaizer Chiefs this season. He’s gonna come through this season big time because he now has been through the blessing and the curse. Now he needs to come with the blessing, here lies an opportunity for him,” Gould said on Kaizer Chiefs Radio.

“Because you know in the first season (you need) lady luck and in the second season that’s when you really come out and show why you are the one to get the contract.

“I’ve seen him over the years, he’s familiar (with the PSL), now it’s time for him to say ‘I’ve arrived’, ” Gould suggested.
