Kaizer Chiefs look to have suffered a setback following the withdrawal of defender Aden McCarthy from in the first half of their PSL clash against Richards Bay on Tuesday.
McCarthy had made the starting XI for a third straight match, looking to continue his fine run this season but lasted 35 minutes before he went off injured.
McCarthy went down with a problem and then struggled to continue before he was taken off for Zitha Kwinika, leaving the pitch holding his hamstring.

Just minutes later, it was confirmed that the youngster had suffered a hamstring injury which might keep him out of action for a few weeks.
The extent of McCarthy’s setback was not immediately known but given it is a muscle injury, he could need between two to eight weeks to recover which would be a blow for Chiefs.
McCarthy, who has come through the club’s development side, has started the season in fine fashion and was voted man of the match in Chiefs’ first two games of the season against Stellenbosch and Polokwane City as Amakhosi won 2-0 and 1-0 respectively.
The 21-year-old has been thrown into the deep end at the start of this season but has not looked out of place despite his relative inexperience, keeping the likes of Kwainika out of the team before his injury.
