Kaizer Chiefs will resume their campaign after the FIFA international break with two demanding TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup fixtures against Egyptian heavyweights Al Masry and Zamalek SC.
The first challenge comes on Sunday, 23 November, when Amakhosi travel to the Suez Stadium for a 18:00 kick-off against Al Masry. The venue, situated roughly 150 km from Cairo, will provide a stern test for the Glamour Boys on foreign soil.
Six days later, Chiefs return home to host Zamalek SC in what promises to be a blockbuster clash between two of Africa’s most storied clubs. The match is scheduled for Saturday, 29 November at 15:00 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Due to the extensive travel between South Africa and Egypt, the club’s midweek Betway Premiership fixture against Magesi, originally set for Wednesday, 26 November, has been postponed. The Premier Soccer League will announce a new date in due course.
Chiefs have been drawn in Group D of this year’s Confederation Cup, alongside Al Masry, Zamalek, and Zambia’s Zesco United. With only the top two teams advancing to the knockout stages, Amakhosi will be eager to collect maximum points from their opening encounters.
