Kaizer Chiefs appear to be on the verge of securing a significant signing for the upcoming season, with highly-rated Siwelele FC midfielder Grant Margeman strongly linked with a move to the Soweto giants.

Speculation intensified after Margeman was spotted in the VIP area at FNB Stadium during Chiefs’ recent 2-0 Premiership victory over TS Galaxy. His presence has fuelled reports that a deal is imminent.

According to KickOff, the Glamour Boys have been actively pursuing the 27-year-old as a key target to reinforce their squad for the 2026/27 campaign. It is understood that negotiations are already underway to bring the former Mamelodi Sundowns player to Naturena.

While Chiefs seem to be in the lead for his signature, other clubs, including AmaZulu FC and Stellenbosch FC, are also reportedly monitoring the situation closely.

Although some reports claim a three-year contract has already been finalised, neither Kaizer Chiefs nor Siwelele FC have made an official statement regarding the transfer.

A former South Africa U20 international, Margeman was part of the Mamelodi Sundowns squad that won the league title in the 2020/21 season. This season, he has made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
