Orlando Pirates forward Relebohile Mofokeng and Oswin Appollis have given their opinions over where each one of them is better than the other.
Mofokeng and Appollis are enjoying a great season and even igniting talk of Player of the Season award for either with the former netting 11 goals and adding eight assists while the latter has 11 goals and has nine assists.
Either of them has benefited from the other’s qualities this season and both players have been assessing their key attributes based on the FIFA player ratings cards.

Where does Appollis trump Mofokeng?
“So here, shooting for him is 75. How much is it for me?” Mofokeng asked while assessing Appollis’ ratings. “85 aah, he knows how to shoot better than me. I think this must swap 75 for me, 85 for him,” he said, insisting that Appollis is a better shooter of the ball than him despite scoring some stunning goals already this season.
“Passing 80…fact on this one, I agree,” he further said. “Dribbling [Appollis given 70], he can dribble, 78-80, it needs to go up a bit,” he went on. “Defending 40…this one is perfect.”
However, Rele does not agree on one attribute that has Appollis rated higher than him. “Physicality [Appollis given 83] ahh, so Oswin is stronger than me while he is this short? They are lying, never,” he said.
Meanwhile, Appollis also rated Mofokeng, agreeing with the ratings on a number of attributes but not on his pace.
Pirates players make surprising admissions
“Pace [Mofokeng given 80] pace no, no…he even knows. This is one is wrong,” said Appollis, disputing Rele’s pace rating. “Shooting [85] shot yeah. Passing [75] definitely, I think this can go much higher, dribbling [89] can go higher but it is right.”

The Pirates winger then revealed one major complaint that Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos makes about him, Mofokeng and Tshepang Moremi.
“Physicality [Mofokeng given 78] I am not sure about physique because coach [Hugo Broos] always complains about me, him and Tshepang about physique,” he further stated.
It was another moment when the Pirates players displayed the camaraderie that exists among them while also recognising each other’s strength, perhaps explaining why Abdeslam Ouaddou’s team are enjoying a good season.
