Latest Kaizer Chiefs news in the last 24 hours, including Glody Lilepo’s potential exit from Amakhosi, Brandon Petersen’s future at the club discussed, Fiacre Ntwari to play against the Glamour Boys and more.
Lilepo set for Chiefs exit?
Glody Lilepo has been omitted from Kaizer Chiefs’ pre-season training camp in Spain. FARPost understands the decision is also linked to growing uncertainty over the 28-year-old winger’s future at Naturena.
Sources close to the situation have indicated that Chiefs are prepared to listen to offers for the Congolese attacker before the transfer window closes. The club is not actively looking to offload him, but they are open to doing business should a suitable offer arrive.
Lilepo has attracted interest from North Africa, with Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat and Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi both understood to be eager to snap him up.
In fact, Benghazi and another North African club are said to have submitted offers for the winger. FARPost understands the bids are generally higher than the fee Chiefs paid to bring the Congolese international to Naturena, while another club from the region has also made enquiries as competition for his signature gathers momentum.

The DR Congo international has grown increasingly frustrated behind the scenes.
However, Chiefs remain in a strong contractual position. Lilepo is tied to the club until June 2027, with an option to extend for a further year, meaning any interested club will have to table a convincing offer to secure his services.
Petersen’s deal to be extended
Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is on the verge of agreeing on a new deal ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Last season, Petersen featured in 24 games for the Soweto giants and kept 15 clean sheets, which also earned him a Betway Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season nomination.
The shot-stopper’s agent, Glyn Binkin, told Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview that Petersen is committed to Amakhosi.

“Brandon is captain of Kaizer Chiefs and is fully committed and focused on that. We are in the process of agreeing a new deal with chiefs in respect of Brandon,” he stated.
Chiefs won’t block Ntwari from facing them!
Fiacre Ntwari is set to continue his career at Kruger United, with only an official announcement from the two clubs still outstanding.
Barring any last-minute changes, Ntwari is expected to be available for selection when Kruger host Kaizer Chiefs on 1 August, according to the Betway Premiership fixtures circulated to clubs via an NSL communique, although the schedule remains subject to final approval.
“There are no special conditions being discussed regarding him playing against Chiefs,” Soccer Laduma reported.
“The whole idea behind the move is for Fiacre to play as many matches as possible. Chiefs want him to get regular game time and rebuild his confidence. Once he joins Kruger, team selection will be entirely up to the club and its coach.

“As things stand, there is nothing stopping him from playing against Chiefs. Unless something changes at the last minute, he will be available for selection like any other player. Whether he plays will be the coach’s decision,” the source said.
