Free agent striker Tshegofatso Mabasa has finally spoken about the reports tying him to Amakhosi.
“I love my job, I care about my job, and I had a job to do at that certain time. So, I wasn’t really bothered by everything that I hear in the media, this and this and this,” Mabasa, who was released by Orlando Pirates said on SoccerBeat as per iDiski Times.
“I try to keep such a huge distance between myself and that, you know, just to move away from that, because I don’t want it to affect me at the end of the day.
“Like, I tell you, I have a job to do, and I have to be ready at all times. I’m one player that plays on confidence, you know. If my mind is right, everything is right now. You’ll see, I’ll excel, you know.
“So, I just had to try and keep in my little box, forget about all the noise and everything else that’s happening around.”
Nabi’s Raja move hits a snag

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi looked set for a swift return to the dugout, but his switch to Raja Athletic Club has stalled.
According to iDiski Times, the 60-year-old had agreed a deal in principle to take over from Fadlu Davids, who left the Casablanca giants on Friday. The verbal terms were said to run until the end of the 2026/27 season with an option to extend.
Once Nabi landed in Morocco, however, the official contract on the table did not match what had been discussed, and the Tunisian was not keen to sign on those conditions.
Raja have not waited around. Sources say former Wydad coach Sven Vandenbroeck and club legend Youssef Safri are both now in the frame for the post.
Bunjira tips Toyota Cup fireworks
Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward and Zimbabwe international Alois Bunjira expects plenty of entertainment when Chiefs host Scottland FC.

The Glamour Boys take on the Zimbabwean champions at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg on 26 July, the third edition of the pre-season Toyota Cup. The fixture carries an obvious subplot: Scottland’s squad features Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat, two former Amakhosi favourites, while ex-Polokwane City winger Walter Musona is also in their ranks.
“Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat, along with Walter Musona, who also played in South Africa for several seasons, are currently in top form. It will be fascinating to see how they perform against their old club,” he told KickOff.
“Scotland’s coach, Norman Mapeza—an ex-Ajax Cape Town player and former Chippa United coach—brings additional experience and tactical insight, adding an extra layer of anticipation.”
