How Chiefs bounced back from back-to-back losses
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has opened up on how the team managed to turn their season around after a difficult spell.
It’s the mentality that we have. We make a lot of meetings together and we discussed about the situation,” he said in a presser.
“When we analyse properly the situation we saw our mistakes. And we said that we have to correct our mistakes.
“So, when you make the right analysis and you see what were your mistakes and then you continue forward, I think that’s the most important thing for us,” Ben Youssef continued.
Pirates or Sundowns? Chiefs legend’s prediction
Kaizer Chiefs legend Vusi Lamola has given his prediction of where the Betway Premiership title will end up and opened up on why Mamelodi Sundowns have dominated the league for eight years in a row.

“Seemingly, Sundowns is going to defend this title again, which is not good for our football. It gives one the impression that it’s a one-horse race,” Lamola predicted, speaking to Soccer Laduma.
“Even if (Pirates) give them a run, the bottom line is that they will end up on the second spot. The way things are going, I may be wrong but my prediction is that they are going to defend the title again.”
Chiefs’ target set
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Dominic Isaacs believes the Soweto giants have to secure a top-three finish in the Betway Premiership this season.
“I know it’s very difficult as a team. Now they’ve won five games in a row, it’s good for them. And the only time you’ll see players performing well when there’s no pressure,” Isaacs told Soccer Laduma.
So now it’s a good time for the guys just to play whatever because they came to terms with look, they’re out of the Nedbank Cup and the league it must take a force majeure for them to win the league.

“So, and now they are just playing with no pressure, they are playing for Confederation Cup spot which is number three and that has to be possible. They have to reach that goal. At least they have to do that for their supporters and everybody and even for themselves. “
