Kaizer Chiefs forward Glody Lilepo has not made it to the DR Congo squad to the 2026 World Cup.
Coach Sebastien Desabre unveiled his squad on Monday but there was no space for Lilepo, who has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 37 matches this season.
Lilepo has not played for the national team since 2023 and is reported to have fallen out with Desabre.

Chippa United’s fight against relegation could be about to be boosted as they will take on a Kaizer Chiefs team that will not have two of their best forwards.
Chiefs will complete their season with a home match against Chippa, who need a win to secure their safety, but will play the game without top scorer Flavio Da Silva and Glody Lilepo.
Da Silva will serve a one-match suspension after receiving four yellow cards while Lilepo’s red card against AmaZulu on Sunday means he will be out for two matches, starting with Saturday’s clash.
Forgotten man Tashreeq Morris, Wandile Duba, Asanele Velebayi, Luke Baartman and Ashely Du Preez are the available options for Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Bradley Cross has received praise from his youth coach Tony Dias who is delighted by how he has gone about his business this season.
Cross has been more consistent this term, playing in 27 matches, and Dias, who coached him as a 12-year-old at Mpumalanga Black Aces (now Jo’burg City), is impressed by his qualities and character.
“I thought he has had a good season at Chiefs, and I say so because I follow him, just like I do with all our boys,” he said as per KickOff.
“From my perspective, he has fitted in nicely at Chiefs in a different role to what he played while with us when he was further up the pitch.”
