The defensive midfielder, who can play in multiple roles, has formed part of a team that is enjoying a great start to the season given the Chiefs youngsters have won all their first four games to stay at the top of the standings.
With his immense talents set to attract suitors, the Chiefs management has moved with speed to tie Mlangeni to a new contract, although its length is not yet known.
The new development was confirmed by his management team P Management Sports Agency which congratulated him on Tuesday.
Mlangeni’s form and talents have already earned him a spot in the national team as he was part of the Amajita side that recently won the U20 COSAFA Championship.

Khumalo will deputise Jack Maluleke, who retains his mandate as head of the portfolio, and while he is still not certain what his role entails, he feels it is a step in the direction although he would like to see more legends handed such jobs.
“To be honest and precise, I’ll be failing SAFA and probably giving the wrong information because at the moment, there’s nothing on the table that has been forwarded to me in order for me to be able to understand the scope of work that needs to be done,” he said on Marawa Sports Worldwide as quoted by iDiski Times.
“But from the look of things, when you talk technical, obviously it entails mapping up forward our football, and especially the development side of it, and also making sure that the coaching education it’s spread out throughout the country.

“We haven’t met, we haven’t done anything but from where I’m seated, and from what I’ve experienced in the years that I’ve been following SAFA and what is happening in our football, there are so many boxes that we need to tick in order for football to go the positive direction.
“You know, I would have appreciated it if there was four, five ‘Doctors’ that were appointed, being the former players, because these are the custodian of the game. These are the people that have walked the path, and I strongly believe in their experience and the coaching education that they acquired.”
