Latest news about Kaizer Chiefs, in the last 24 hours, including ex-Amakhosi star exiting Vietnam, two players suspended for final game against Chippa United, and more.
Ex-Chiefs star leaves Vietnam with no single appearance
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom has brought an unfortunate end to a frustrating spell in Vietnam where he departs without making a single competitive appearance.
The 25-year-old joined Vietnamese V.League 1 champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC after spending last season on loan at Chiefs from MLS outfit St. Louis City SC.
Blom returned to Naturena hoping to reignite his career, but struggled to cement a regular place in the starting line-up, making 19 appearances in all competitions as Amakhosi ended their long trophy drought by lifting the Nedbank Cup.

Still only 25, Blom now faces an important next step in his career after a difficult period disrupted by injuries and limited game time.
Chiefs duo to miss Chippa United date
The PSL has confirmed a raft of suspensions that will rule out players from seven clubs in the final round of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
With the title race and relegation battle yet to be settled – and the final top eight spot; there’s still plenty to play for this weekend.
Durban City FC will be withoutJoslin Kamatuka and Terrence Mashego, while Kaizer Chiefs face a double blow of their own; both Flavio Da Silva and Glody Lilepo are ruled out for Amakhosi’s final fixture.

Magesi will be without midfielder Lehlohonolo Mtshali, and Marumo Gallants lose the services of their captain Edgar Manaka.
Ex-Chiefs midfielder reacts to ‘unexpected’ nomination
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has opened up about his “unexpected” nomination for the Coach of the Season award in the Botswana Premier League.
“Well, I’m very happy, obviously, that I have been nominated for Coach of the Season. To be honest, it was something unexpected because usually, when it comes to such awards, you would expect only coaches at the top of the table to be considered,” Letsholonyane told FARPost.
“So, for me, I was not even expecting it. This was like a surprise when I saw my name there. But I’m happy and excited about this nomination. I believe this nomination confirms that trusting the process and the action yield fruitful results.
“When things don’t go well, there are a lot of changes. Let me also give credit to the club’s hierarchy and everyone involved in the day-to-day running of the club for their hard work and spirit of togetherness.
“Even when the results were not forthcoming, we stayed together and did not panic. They understood that it would take time to start seeing the results, and it was only a matter of time,” he concluded.
