Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has slammed Kaizer Chiefs for celebrating getting a point against them in the Premier Soccer League game staged at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.
The Buccaneers had recorded maximum points in the initial six league meetings in the South African top-flight football. The Glamour Boys were determined to stop their traditional rivals from getting victory for the seventh time in a row.

Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu were put in midfield to ensure Bucs struggle in midfield. The game ended 1-1 but coach Ouaddou insists it wasn’t worth celebrating.
Kaizer Chiefs should be disappointed

“I have seen a lot of players of Kaizer Chiefs going down. I cannot say that they were tired or just winning time because it seems like the draw was a fantastic result for them, for such a big club,” Ouaddou stated.
“I think they should be disappointed like us because tonight I have the feeling that we lost two points.
“And I think them as well, they should have this feeling, but I saw that they were very happy with one point,” he further argued.
Chiefs were not playing football
Meanwhile, the former international defender insists Amakhosi were not interested in playing clean football.
“I think sometimes it was even a limit of the red line you couldn’t cross. If we want to give nice football to the fans; and I think South African fans deserve it when I see the quality of the organisation, we must protect the players who are willing to play football,” Ouaddou stated.

“What I have seen, I don’t know if I can call it a football game or karate. I have to respect other sporting codes, but it was not a football game. Not everyone was willing to play nice football, and players need to be protected. Our three players, Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appollis, and Tshepang Moremi, were targeted.
“Not to take the ball within the rules, but to break the legs of the players. This is something I cannot accept in football. team came not to play football but to destroy and to break the legs of the players. This is what we saw, and it is very bad for football,” he concluded.
