Kaizer Chiefs target forcing exit at Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch FC player who’s said to be on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs, is actively seeking to leave the club with only a few weeks remaining before the transfer window closes.

Stellenbosch has already experienced the departure of several key players, including Iqraam Rayners, who has joined Mamelodi Sundowns, and Deano Van Rooyen, who has signed with Orlando Pirates.

Currently, Fawaaz Basadien and Ismail Toure are prominently linked to Amakhosi, as the Soweto club continues to enhance its defensive lineup.

Toure was not part of the team that played CAF Confederation Cup match against Nsingizini Hotspurs on Saturday where Western Cape outfit won 3-0.

According to Soccer Laduma, the Ivorian defender also missed training last week, indicating his desire for the club to facilitate his departure before the transfer window closes.

HOW TOURE HAS BEEN FORCING HIS WAY OUT OF STELLENBOSCH

“Ismael Toure is a good player and a top defender, make no mistake about that. But sometimes the way he does things lets him down,” a source told Soccer Laduma.

“He needs to work on his attitude, otherwise he is a very good defender. During the week, he missed training as Stellenbosch were preparing for the CAF match.

“He was absent for about two or three days of training. Yes, he wants to leave but there should be other ways of dealing with the situation.”

Basadien contributed to the team's victory over the Eswatini side during the weekend. The left-back, who continues to be a target for the team managed by Nasreddine Nabi, found the net once more against Nsingizini.

He also scored in their opening match of the season, the MTN8 quarterfinal against TS Galaxy, where Stellies emerged victorious with a score of 3-1.
