Kaizer Chiefs youngster Reatlegile ‘Rea’ Mosimane has landed a trial invite with a LaLiga outfit, according to his father and celebrated South African tactician Pitso Mosimane.

The teenager has been effective for the Amakhosi junior teams in recent seasons, playing a vital role to help the Soweto giants deliver in their respective categories. However, he was recently sidelined for two months owing to an unspecified injury.

Nevertheless, the 61-year-old insists that has not stopped his son from attending trials with a ‘good and strong team in the LaLiga.

Mosimane has further insisted he played no role in the deal since there are scouts in the country who do their job. ‘Jingles’ is adamant the call has come owing to the impresive stats recorded.

“A week before he got injured, he got a trial in Spain. I won’t [reveal now], I don’t want to be putting it [in the spotlight]. But it’s a good, strong team in the LaLiga,” he told MSW.

“It’s a good youth programme, okay maybe not Barcelona, Madrid. Maybe everybody must calm down. But it’s a proper team in terms of youth development. One of the best youth development programmes.

“People will say, ‘Ah maybe the dad made a call’. No, I didn’t make a call, there’s a lot of people, who scout – they have a lot of scouting they do.

“The GDL, all the games are on the app and some on Sunday are live. So, you will see 10, 15 games he has played, so you don’t make decisions on highlights because no agents sends bad highlights,” Mosimane concluded.
