Who has left the Glamour Boys?
According to FARPost, Amakhosi have opted to part ways with South American midfielder Edson Castillo.
“Edson Castillo has parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs following a mutual agreement between the club and the player to terminate his contract,” they confirmed on Friday.

“The Venezuelan winger was not among the players who travelled to the Netherlands on Thursday night for the pre-season tour, which will last for the next two weeks. With the recent signing of SuperSport United star Siphesihle Ndlovu [who has not yet been confirmed], the club has terminated his contract. Castillo is exploring new opportunities, with his representatives actively seeking a club for him in the off-season,” they concluded.
Since joining Chiefs at the start of the 2023/24 season, the 31-year-old made a total of 39 appearances for Amakhsoi, with just seven coming in the 2024/25 campaign owing to a fractured fibula injury suffered earlier in the campaign.
