Kaizer Chiefs are set for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup's second preliminary round against AS Simba to be staged at the Dobsnville Stadium on Sunday.
This will be a massive game for either team as they work on getting into the group stage of the CAF inter-club competition.
While Amakhosi have been in this competition severally, the Democratic Republic of Congo outfit are making their debut after an impressive 2024/25 campaign in the domestic tournament.

The Soweto giants have been struggling in domestic competitions, and are currently winless in the last six outings across all competitions. They haven't scored in the last three matches in all tournaments.
Simba have played just three competitive matches this season; all in the CAF interclub competition. They have won two and managed a draw.
In the head-to-head record, this is the second time the teams are meeting after the initial goalless draw in the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi.

I’m not confident, but I’m very sure that we’re going to qualify. Every team has challenges. We have to admit that right now our biggest challenge is scoring goals, but it’s not all lost because we are not leaking goals at the back.
The brand of football we want to play is coming along; it’s coming together, but the only thing that’s lacking is scoring goals. The [starting] line-ups and performances of players are consistent – Cedric Kaze, Kaizer Chiefs co-coach
