Not yet done! Kaizer Chiefs warned about CAF CC ambitions by their legend

Kaizer Chiefs legend Arthur Zwane has warned the Glamour Boys that the race for the CAF Confederation Cup is not yet done despite the huge advantage enjoyed by the Soweto giants.

Currently, Amakhosi are currently third on the table with 47 points from 25 Premier Soccer League outings. Usuthu are a position lower with 42 points having played 26 games explaining why their chances of beating the in-form Chiefs are slim especially with a couple of rounds left.

Last weekend, AmaZulu gained ground thanks to their 5-1 victory over Chippa United, coupled with a 1-1 draw between Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby.

Usuthu have games against Golden Arrows and Orbit College coming up before a fixture with Amakhosi. Zwane explains why they can’t give up, at least not now.

“Look, in football you don’t give up. We’re here to compete even though we are playing with a lot of youngsters and though we’ll focus on ourselves we don’t want to put ourselves under pressure, we will take it one game at a time,” he said in a presser.

“You never know what’s going to happen and if God wants us to go into Africa, I don’t see anyone stopping us, so we’ll keep on working hard and we’ll keep on praying. Our Gaurdian angls will guide us to the right direction.

“Spiritually were very strong as a team. We pray together. We more like family with the group of players. We are going somewhere as a team. I’m happy with the team we have assembled this season, yes we have all the challenges here and here.

“But when you see youngsters more than willing to go an extra mile even when their legs can’t carry them anymore, that’s the right attitude, the kind of attitude that we want,” Zwane concluded.
