With title rivals Mamelodi Sundowns sidelined this weekend due to CAF Champions League commitments, a win for Pirates could open up a crucial three-point gap at the summit.
Currently level on 47 points with Sundowns, Pirates hold a slight edge thanks to a superior goal difference, making every goal count in the race for the league crown.

The Buccaneers come into this fixture on the back of an impressive run of form. They have won eight of their last ten league matches, including a 3-0 thrashing of Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby, a 2-1 win over Polokwane City, and most recently, a 2-0 victory against Richards Bay.
Aside from a goalless draw with Sekhukhune United and a narrow 2-1 loss to Sundowns in February, Pirates have shown remarkable consistency, scoring 33 goals while conceding only eight — the best defensive record in the division.

Siwelele FC, meanwhile, are struggling in the league. Sitting 11th with 22 points from 19 matches, they remain just four points above the relegation zone and will be desperate to improve their form.
While they have shown resilience in recent games, keeping three consecutive clean sheets and picking up a 1-0 win over TS Galaxy, the challenge of facing Pirates’ attacking firepower will be immense.
Pirates will still be without key players Thabiso Sesane, Kabelo Dlamini, and Thapelo Xoki, but the return of Sipho Mbule adds depth to their midfield.
