Magesi FC and Mamelodi Sundowns are set to clash in the Carling Knockout Cup final on Saturday, November 21st at FNB Stadium.

Afrik-Foot highlights five players to watch in this exciting showdown.

1 – Lucas Ribeiro Costa (Forward – Mamelodi Sundowns

The Brazilian star has been instrumental in Sundowns' games this season, especially now with Themba Zwane sidelined due to injury. Ribeiro playmaking abilities have been crucial in driving the team forward.

Renowned for his skillful dribbling and powerful shots, the 26-year-old has already made a significant impact, netting seven goals and providing four assists in just 12 appearances across all competitions.

2 – Bathusi Aubaas (Midfielder – Mamelodi Sundowns)

Aubaas has been one of the standout performers for Sundowns this season and has carried his impressive form into his Bafana Bafana appearances.

His physical presence allows him to disrupt opposition attacks and complement Teboho Mokoena effectively in midfield. The duo has formed a formidable partnership, dominating midfield encounters.

One of Aubaas’ most impressive performances this season came in the 4-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs.

3 – Ronwen Williams (Goalkeeper – Mamelodi Sundowns)

As the team prepares for the high-pressure final against Magesi FC, captain Williams will play a crucial role in keeping the team organised and focused.

While Sundowns are expected to win, the pressure could lead to nerves and mistakes. Williams’ leadership and vocal presence will be key in calming the team and inspiring them to perform at their best.
