Kodisang to leave Sundowns?
Renowned Prosport International agent Mike Makaab has exclusively revealed to FARPost that discussions are ongoing regarding a potential loan move for winger Kobamelo Kodisang away from Chloorkop.
Kodisang has found regular game time hard to come by at Masandawana since his high-profile arrival in July 2024, when he signed a long-term contract from Portuguese top-flight outfit Moreirense FC.
Despite arriving at Chloorkop as one of the country’s most promising overseas-based exports, the pacey attacker faced stiff competition and struggled to cement a regular starting berth in the star-studded Brazilians’ line-up.

During his debut 2024/25 campaign, the talented winger made just 13 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists. In a bid to revive his form and secure regular playing minutes, Kodisang returned to Portugal at the start of the following season to join Primeira Liga side AVS Futebol SAD on a season-long loan.

No Shalulile, no problem!
Following Peter Shalulile’s departure from Mamelodi Sundowns, former Brazilians striker Katlego “Killer” Mphela believes the Tshwane giants already have enough attacking quality to compete for trophies next season.
“Honestly speaking, I think they have enough because you saw last season there was Iqraam Rayners and Brayan Leon,” Mphela told Soccer Laduma.
“I think the coach still wants to go with them, and I don’t think they’ll go out searching for a striker because there is also Lebogang Mothiba to consider.”
The former Bafana Bafana forward believes Mothiba still has an important role to play at Chloorkop despite his injury struggles since joining the club.
“He’s not going anywhere. There haven’t been any transfer rumours linking him with a move away from Sundowns. Scoring goals might be a challenge because he’s coming back from a long-term injury that affected his game time, but I have no doubt he’ll return to his best if he stays fit for the whole season.
“In my opinion, Mothiba may not fit the team’s system perfectly, but Miguel Cardoso seems to like what he brings. The coach could also promote one or two young players from the development side, although nothing is guaranteed at a club the size of Sundowns. They could still surprise everyone and sign another big-name striker.

“Bringing in another striker would create even more competition. We saw last season that when Peter Shalulile wasn’t playing, Rayners and Leon pushed each other for a starting place.
“Overall, I think Sundowns will begin the new season with three recognised strikers, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they signed another top forward to strengthen the squad for all the competitions they’ll be involved in,” Mphela concluded.
