Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has revealed how he found South Africa beautiful during the 2010 World Cup.
Amorim was part of the Portugal squad that featured at the tournament, the first and only time, when an African country has hosted the World Cup.
The United boss did not play a key role for Portugal but left South Africa with lasting memories that he still holds dear after what he witnessed in the country.
What did Man United boss like about Mzansi?

“I remember the sound of vuvuzelas was amazing, it was hard sometimes to speak in the stadium but you guys have a very beautiful country,” Amorim said on In The Premier League Chair.
“I remember Cape Town was a really good city, a really nice city and it was a good moment in my career.”
Portugal were knocked out of the tournament by eventual winners Spain at the Round of 16, having finished second in their group that had Brazil, Ivory Coast and North Korea.
Amorim played few minutes at 2010 World Cup

They started their tournament with a goalless draw against the Ivorians, a game Amorim came on as an 84th minute substitute, before thrashing North Korea 7-0 and then ended with another 0-0 against Brazil.
Portugal, who set base at Alley Hotel in Gauteng, played their Round of 16 match against Spain in Cape Town where Amorim experienced the beauty of the Mother City.
The United boss, however, played just the six minutes of the tournament as he was not involved in Portugal’s other three matches but looks to have enjoyed the ride nonetheless.
