Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel is convinced the Glamour Boys will get a new lease of life with victory in the Premier Soccer League outing against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.
In the 19 games played in the ongoing campaign, the defending champions have secured 17 wins to take their points tally to 51, 15 more than the closest challengers Orlando Pirates who have played 15 games.
The Glamour Boys are eighth on the table from 18 games, having won seven, lost as many, and drawn four. However, the Soweto giants are still convinced they can finish inside the top positions and qualify for the Caf competitions.
Game by game from Chiefs but…
Angola international Miguel believes a win on Saturday against the Brazilians might work to the club's favour.
“A win it would change everything after a bad result like last week, if we come with a win we won’t be thinking about it,” the center-back said ahead of the game.
“Okay yes we take things game by game of course, but it will give us the confidence we’re looking for after a heavy loss last week. But we are remaining focused on things game by game, for the moment now, we work hard to prepare to face Mamelodi Sundowns, do our best and move forward.”
Sundowns are set to play without the suspended Aubrey Modiba and Denis Onyango while Ronwen Williams is nursing an injury. Chiefs will have to do without the suspended Gaston Sirino in the game scheduled to start at 15.30 hours SAT.
