South African coach Manqoba Mngqithi might soon be working abroad once he gets a suitable team, according to his agent Mike Makaab.
The 53-year-old has been a free agent after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, just five months after replacing Rulani Mokwena. During his tenure, Masandawana fell in the Carling Knockout final a couple of months after falling to Stellenbosch in the MTN8 semi-final.
However, it was a poor start to Caf Champions League group stage that saw him get knocked out with former Esperance coach Miguel Cardoso succeeding him.
Mngqithi to North Africa?

After leaving Sundowns, Mokwena was appointed to coach Wydad Athletic Club in Morocco. Makaab has now revealed teams from North Africa are among those chasing the services of his client.
“We have had quite a lot of interest from clubs in North Africa and the Middle-East. We are biding our time purely because it's the project that's important. If he commits to a club, it's got to be a project that he can get stuck into,” he told SNL24.
“He was at Sundowns for 11 years and during that period there was a lot of interest in him. The bottom line is that he was happy with the project, whether he was head coach or assistant coach. That's the character we are talking about,” Makaab concluded.
Mngqith has initiall coached Golden Arrows and AmaZulu in the Premier Soccer League. It is interesting to see if he will be willing to coach outside South Africa if a chance comes his way.
