Relebohile Mofokeng’s father Sechaba Mofokeng believes his son would only need three months before he starts shining at Barcelona.
Rele has been linked to the Spanish giants after reports emerged that the Catalan club had made an inquiry over his availability as they look to sign him for their B team before he progresses slowly into the senior side.
The rumours have been received with mixed reactions with a number of ex-players urging the Orlando Pirates youngster to grab the chance while others want him not to rush into a move abroad.

However, his father is in support of such a move following the links, which he has admitted left him shocked, and is backing his son to become an instant star in Spain if a deal materialises.
“To be honest, I was shocked when I first heard it,” Sechaba told Soccer Laduma.
“Rele and Bara! Those two things are on different planets in different worlds. But I said, if you are doing well, good things will come to you.
“If it happens that he gets a contract there, I will give him only three months and he will be shining in the FC Barcelona team.”
Will Barcelona firm up the deal for Rele?
Sechaba says his son has heard the reports but he has encouraged him to keep his feet on the ground and continue producing impressive performances for Pirates.
“I told him if you are doing well, you will have more teams looking at you,” he added. “But you have to do more. You haven’t done anything yet. Just show them what you are made of and they will realise we have gold in Mzansi.”
Mofokeng has been in good form this season with four goals and seven assists in 18 games already to his name.
