Zimbabwe international Daniel Msendami opened his Orlando Pirates account last weekend in the 3-0 victory over Chippa United in the Premier Soccer League outing.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Soweto giants in the second half of the 2025/26 season, came off the bench to capitalise on poor defending by the Chilli Boys to put his name on the score-sheet. Ghampani Lungu and Lebone Seema scored the other two goals.

In his debut season with the Soweto giants, the versatile attacker played just eight competitive games; six in the Premier Soccer League, and the other two in the Nedbank Cup.
Msendami couldn’t hide his joy after finding the back of the net as the defending champions made it two wins from three league games, with the other one ending in a draw.
Msendami’s next target after getting off the mark
“I am happy to have scored my first goal for Orlando Pirates, and I hope to continue getting more opportunities to play,” Msendami told Herald.

“My aim is to keep working hard, score more goals and help the team continue winning matches. There is a lot of competition in the squad, so I have to make the most of every opportunity I get.
“I joined Pirates knowing that they have a big squad and for me that was a big motivation because I always want to compete and be one of the best in the team. I am now focusing on improving game by game and be in the best physical and mental state as the season progresses,” he concluded.
The next outing for Bucs will be on Saturday, August 22, when they play Sekhukhune United in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final.
