Orlando Pirates Transfer News: International attacker to leave in January?

In recent seasons, Orlando Pirates have lost some of their established players to other teams abroad.

In the concluded transfer window, the Sea Robbers lost Relebohile Mofokeng, Karim Kimvuidi, Sipho Mbule and Patrick Maswanganyi. They loaned Daniel Msendami as well to Marumo Gallants.

According to FARPost, Pirates might end up losing Msendami permanently to Zimbabwean champions Scottland who have been going for top players. Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat, Knowledge Musona, Terence Dzvukamanja and Walter Musona are the other players in the team.

“Daniel Msendami looks set to become the latest Zimbabwean to retrace his footsteps back home after it emerged that negotiations are underway for him to complete a January move to Scottland FC,” the aforementioned publication stated.

“It will not be surprising if he makes the move to join Scottland FC. The 25-year-old winger has endured restricted game time due to the number of available options at Orlando Pirates.

“Negotiations for a January move are at an advanced stage. Msendami’s loan spell at Marumo Gallants is set to end in June 2027,” they concluded.

Msendami’s time at Pirates

The versatile attacker joined the Buccaneers from Marumo Gallants in January, but struggled for game time.

He started just two games and made another six appearances from the bench across all competitions. Before being loaned out this season, he had made three appearances and a goal to his name.

Msendami was further involved as Zimbabwe beat Sierra Leone 3-2 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier before falling 2-1 against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
