Kaizer Chiefs have been blowing hot and cold this season under coach Nasreddine Nabi who took over the reigns at the beginning of the ongoing campaign.
Their most recent outing was in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 where they beat Chippa United 3-0 to advance to the quarter-final.
Despite showing some improvements, the Glamour Boys are lacking consistency, a fact coach Nabi concedes.
The Glamour Boys heading the right direction?

In his recent interview – ahead of a tough Premier Soccer League assignment against SuperSport United, Nabi conceded there us a lot to be done.
“I would say that we still have a lot of work to do, a long road to go, and it's not like a false modesty, but we don't believe we are even half of the team that we dream of for Kaizer Chiefs,” he told the media.
“But the biggest certainty is that we are headed in the right direction, the players understand what they need to do, and we feel that they are coming together; honestly, the process continues.”
‘Chiefs can still improve'
The 3-0 win over Chippa was Chiefs' second-biggest win this season after the 4-0 win over the Swnky Boys in the Carling Knockout earlier in the season since Nabi was appointed as the team's coach. However, the Tunisian says the Glamour Boys are not yet there.
“I wouldn't say that this was our best game since the beginning of the season because we felt that at some point, especially the last 20-25 minutes of the first half, we didn't have control of the game and we let Chippa come at us with long balls, and we knew they were going to use that.
“But we believe, if we can improve in those little things and have control of the game for the whole 90 minutes, like being the team that decides the tempo of the game, when we need to accelerate and when we need to slow down, then that will be a consistent team.”
