Kaizer Chiefs have been urged to be patient with coach Nasreddine Nabi despite the struggles witnessed in the Premier Soccer League.
The Tunisian joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the 202/25 season, signing an initial two-year deal with an option to extend it by another one. However, there have been speculations that the management is divided about the ability of Nabi to help Amakhosi get back to the top of Mzansi football.
Chiefs are struggling to make the top eight, but are in the Nedbank Cup final, where they will play Orlando Pirates in the final on May 10 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Their run in the competition have almost guaranteed them a place in the Caf Confederation Cup next season.

Former Amakhosi attacker Lehlohonolo Majoro is convinced the Tunisian has what it takes to emulate Pitso Mosimane who struggled at Mamelodi Sundowns before eventually getting it right.
‘If Chiefs keep Nabi for longer it will be a plus'
“I think there’s still a long way for Kaizer Chiefs to go; If they keep coach Nabi for longer, it will be a plus for them because if you can check with Sundowns, it allowed itself to have a rebuilding phase where they were building under Coach Pitso [Mosimane]. There was a time when Sundowns supporters were booing Coach Pitso, throwing bottles at him. That was when he was still building,” he said as quoted by iDiski Times.
“He was building for three seasons, and then ever since those three seasons, Sundowns has evolved into becoming the team to beat in our league and also in Africa. Orlando Pirates, they also kept the coach for longer, and they gave themselves an opportunity to build. So the reason I’m saying Chiefs should keep coach Nabi for longer, it will also give them the opportunity to build.

“I know it’s not easy for those three teams. They expect each and every game that is played to be won. Sometimes, football does not have shortcuts. Football will expose you as an individual if you’re not doing things the right way,” Majoro concluded.
On Saturday, Chiefs host Pirates in the PSL's Soweto Derby at the FNB Stadium.
