Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has given assessment on left-back Happy Mashiane’s contribution in their recent 3-0 win against Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.

The match against the “Chilli Boys” took place at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.

For Mashiane, this game marked his second start this season, having also been in the starting lineup for the Ke Yona Round of 32 fixture against Free Agents.

Nabi expressed his satisfaction with Mashiane’s performance against Chippa United, specifically praising his capacity to enhance their attacking game.

NABI ON MASHIANE’S SHOWING AGAINST CHIPPA

“It’s a good analysis [about the players you mentioned], just add someone like Mmodi but I say that now the number of players is big, in terms of quantity and quality,” said Nabi as quoted by iDiski Times.

“And now it’s concurrence, two or three players in each position. The concurrence is going to be hard, anyone who plays is the one who will keep their consistence in training and playing.

“Happy Mashiane hasn’t played in a while and his tempo wasn’t always there, he’s very good offensively.”
